Two prayers
A prayerI pray for the health of the nation
and for the common wealth of the people:
for the love to sustain us,
the hope to inspire us
and the faith to steady our resolve.
Encourage us,
Come to us,
Enfold us,
in Jesus name. Amen
A lament
People are dying, Lord,
who should not have died.
People are grieving
who should not have had
this burden to bear.
O Lord, for all who are dying
and grieving -
Hear us.
